The North Face

Project Type: Activation - Design & Build
Location: The Lowline Lab, New York, NY
Year: 2016

In partnership with the LowLine Lab, Preview produced/fabricated The North Face celebration, “50 years of exploration”. The LowLine Lab was a prototype/exhibit showcasing how plant life can be sustainable in an underground park. Filtering in natural sunlight through a series of reflective tubes, the spectrum lighting was directed onto a solar canopy that allowed the plant life to flourish below. An environment was created that didn’t disrupt the topographical design already existing in the space. A series of installations were added to accentuate/ the 50 years of exploration. A large scale brand sculpture greeted guests as they arrived to test their skills on a 20’ x 10’ climbing wall with the assistance of professional climbers. The gallery wall highlighted some of the most renowned climbers in the world and a custom evolutionary timeline walked guests through the last 50 years of the brand and its adventurous growth.
